Players are competing for one of four Americas spots in the World Championship -- held at BlizzCon in November -- along with a $100,000 prize pool on the line.

The weekend starts with eight players splitting into two groups of four for a double elimination competition. The two remaining teams from each group will move onto the semifinals and compete in a single elimination bracket. Every match is a best-of-five Conquest format, which is explained in detail in this video.
The eight players competing over the weekend are Monsanto, Topopablo, Abar, Tarei, Pascoa, Dude7597, HotMeowth and Rooftrellen. Amnesiac and Cydonia already qualified for the World Championship in the winter and spring season.
Two players from each of the other regions -- Asia-Pacific, Europe and China -- have also already qualified. The Europe Summer Championship and Asia-Pacific Summer Championship are Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 1-2 respectively.
The fourth chance for players to qualify for the World Championship is each region's Last Call tournament in October.
The HearthstoneWorld Championship will be held live at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California Nov. 4-5.
