Oreo986 Archives traditionally one of America's most modest cookies, has decided to go big or die trying.
Its latest hashtag campaign, ##MyOreoCreation, encouraged followers to come up with their own imaginative Oreo creations. The company promised to make very limited editions of people's best ideas -- which apparently included an actual Avocado Oreo.
Mmm mmm ... OK.
SEE ALSO: Oreo releases a tasty new flavor just in time for National Doughnut DayThe campaign, which has been going on since May, brought out the best and worst in people's brains. On the list was Coffee, Glazed Donut, Bacon -- all respectable enough inventions -- plus Nut 'N Honey (great), Raspberry Danish (good), as well as Unicorn and Millennial pink -- which is just too #ViralMarketing for my taste.

If that doesn't scare you off, consider the person who ordered Kettle Corn and the other who imagined Cherry Cola. Both brave, insanely sweet creations.
What ever happened to good old fashioned chocolate cookie and monoglycerides?
Unfortunately, the company only produced enough cookies to give to select fans who actually participated in the challenge. The submission phase ends on July 14th and no winners have been selected yet.
Whatever. It's a hashtag campaign, and my #MyOreoCreationIsBetterThanYours.
