On Monday DeKalb County Fire Department released helmet-cam footage, showing the moment when a firefighter caught a child who was thrown off the third story of a burning apartment building on 3 January in Decatur, Georgia.

This wasn't the only child to be thrown from the building.

"We were catching babies like a football -- literally," County Fire Rescue Capt. Eric Jackson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

According to reports there were four adults and eight children injured, with the youngest being one month old.

The firefighter in the video has been identified as Captain Scott Stroup. To him, and to all the firefighters involved, hats off.
